Match Highlights: Halifax put on the pressure from the start but after eight minutes a Warrington move developed on the right, a beautiful reverse path from Harry Bath to Lowe wrong footed Halifax and a lobbed pass from Lowe just got Challinor in at the corner. Despite huge pressure before half time Halifax could only manage a penalty goal by Griffiths when Naughton was offside at a play-the-ball. In the second half Brian Bevan made a weaving run past man after man until Dai Bevan tackled Heathwood into the corner flag as Bevan passed to him. Warrington's second try came from a superb 40 yard run by Helme who beat thee men, then feinted to pass to McCormick before ducking under Griffiths's tackle to score at the left corner. Halifax were camped in Warrinton's 25 for most of the last ten minutes and in the last minute Daniels caught a high kick over the line but he failed to ground the ball as he was tackled.
